Course Overview

Medical Booms are progressively developing into more advanced pieces of equipment. Today’s state-of-the-art Booms offer various options and are modular, allowing easy repositioning of accessories by nursing staff. Even electrical, gas and data outlets can be repositioned by hospital Biomeds without the need to call for a company technician. Effective utilization and maintenance of the Booms depends on in-depth knowledge of the operation and construction of the Booms.

Learning Objective

  • Learn about room survey, pre-install and installation procedure of the Boom.
  • Understand various parts of the Boom and available options.
  • Know approved movements and limitations of the Boom arms.
  • Learn how to perform basic maintenance such as adjusting brake pressure, adjusting stops, repositioning accessories and repositioning utility panels.

Certification

Boom Training Completion Certicate will be awarded at the end of the course.
